When talking about clouds: "Those ones over there came from California. After they leave our house, they'll go to Germany!"
When he saw a bug on the floor: "I know how that bug got in our house. Last year it was thundering and raining. The thunder was so loud, it made a crack under my window and the bugs came inside. Then the power went out and we had to use flashlights! That was the day the bugs came in."
Regarding belly buttons: "Daddy has a really deep belly button. Next year, when he turns 33, it's going to be even DEEPER!"
We bought some flash cards with sight words to practice with Chase. After we sound out the word, we try to use that word in a sentence. He's usually pretty good at it and some of his sentences crack me up. For example...
But:
"We want the leaves to stay on the trees... BUT they have to fall down!"
If:
"IF you want your mommy to have 5 kids, and she only wants to have 4, that's too bad!"
