Okay, so y'all know how un-crafty I am, right? Well a dear friend of mine offered to take Chase to an art camp with her son every Friday this summer and he's been loving it! However, last week her family was going on vacation so it was up to me to get him to art camp. I had really good intentions and I so wanted to take him. But these days nothing is that easy and unfortunately we never made it there. The class was at 10am and it just so happens that the babies were taking a morning nap when it was time to go, plus they were due to eat at 10:30. Waking them up to put them in the car, then sitting with them and Siena for an hour in the small waiting room (you don't go into the class with your child, but you have to stay there in the building), plus nursing them there one at a time... well it was just too much. The good news is that I have a very flexible, and forgiving, son. He was okay with staying home that day. But I felt so terrible about it so I promised that we could do some "art" at home!
First we painted...

Then we decided to melt down some of our own crayons and make new ones. Now THAT was exciting!

Are you feelin' crafty too?
Here's how we did it.
