Chase's Halloween festivities started early on Friday with trick-or-treating at his school. He doesn't usually go to school on Fridays, but they let the Tues/Thurs kids come in anyways and join their teacher in walking around to the different classrooms to get candy. He was so excited for me to "go to school" with him (I walked around with them) and I loved seeing him interact with his teacher.
Outside his school:

With some of his class, listening to "Ms. Roxy" as she gives instructions. They were so focused on her, it was unbelievable! Yeah, that's Chase picking his nose! :)

On Halloween night, we got dressed up, made a big pot of chili, and headed over to our neighbor's house. Chase had his fireman costume on all afternoon... he was so excited!

Siena was a little pumpkin!

Chase and his buddy Cooper (a scary doctor!) getting ready to go trick-or-treat:

Walking around the neighborhood:

After we finished trick-or-treating, we camped out in the driveway. For some strange reason, here in Tampa (or at least in our neighborhood), the "driveway" is the center of the universe. Everyone hangs out in their driveway, all the time. I actually overheard the following conversation at my first Bunco party (have I ever explained the Bunco phenomenon here? That's another story!):
Lady 1: "What's your husband up to tonight?"
Lady 2: "Driveway Beer."
She said it so matter-of-fact, like it was an actual event. Literally it just means that he was sitting in the driveway, drinking beer! Amazing. On Halloween I think every single person in our neighborhood was out in their driveway. I'm sure that Chase never actually had to ring a doorbell because there was no one inside!! No exaggeration here.
Anyways, we were sitting in the driveway for a while with the neighbors, eating candy and watching the kids run around with their sugar highs, when along came this sweet little Cinderella girl. She offered to pull Chase and Cooper around in the wagon for a while and they loved that! Chase had removed his costume by this point because he was just too hot!

At a Halloween after-party in yet another driveway. Not sure how Siena was still awake at this point, but she was a happy little pumpkin! Chase was too.... he was running around eating cookies, candy and playing cornhole with the other kids... and he got to stay up until 10pm! Does it get any better?!
