October happenings

Well, regretfully, I don't have a bunch of pictures to post from our road trip to SC. This is because my mom and sister were snapping pics like crazy and I admit to being a bit lazy and I let them do all the work! I have their pictures on Kodak Gallery, but that doesn't really help for posting them on the blog. But I got my sister to send me one that pretty much sums up the trip... at least for Chase! He had the BEST time playing with his cousins Abbie and Joey!


Joey and Chase are 6 months apart and have never really played together much before, so it was great to see them finally getting along and running around together! We went to a pumpkin patch one day and the 4 of them were so cute in their Halloween gear. I'm glad we had the chance to do that in Charleston because things have been crazy since we got back home... Eric had to go out of town again immediately, so we haven't been able to go to a pumpkin patch here as a family. Not that there are a lot to choose from... and it doesn't feel a bit like fall! In fact, we're still going to the pool!! I honestly have the hardest time remembering what month it is. It's not just the weather though. I guess I'm pretty flighty these days (I actually forgot my favorite neice's birthday!) and it gets even worse when Eric goes out of town! I'm busy with Chase & Siena, planning a race, training for races, doing treasurer stuff for MOMS Club, planning baby showers, etc. Not complaining though... I like to be busy!!

Oh and one thing we did while in SC, which I DO have pictures of, is go to Kristin's wedding! It was beautiful and we had a great time catching up with some of our favorite friends: Lindsay, Chris and Katie!
I recently took Chase to our MOMS Club Halloween party where we went "trunk or treating" for the first time! The only downside was, again, the HEAT, which kept us from getting the kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes. It's always an issue here because all of the costumes are so cute, cuddly, and FLEECY! Chase is going to be a fireman this year and I had to make sure that his long pants and jacket were very thin. Siena has a cute fleece pumpkin costume, which you're supposed to wear clothes under, but I think we'll skip them! Anyways, here is a picture of Chase and his girl Mia "trunk or treating" together!

Guess who is back in town? Dennis!! It was so good to see him and I'm so glad that he finally got to meet Siena! We can't wait to go visit him in Hamburg... maybe next year??

Speaking of Siena, she just grows taller and chunkier every day... and cuter and cuter! She talks and smiles all the time, especially at her big brother. And she's currently in love with her hands! And we're in love with her! :)
