Okay, so I've never really been able to talk about this before when my blog was public, but every year Eric is in charge of a 5K race for his office. It's the
US Secret Service 5K Road Race and it takes place in downtown Tampa. He's been the race director for the past 3 years and I've done my best to help him out with all of the planning and organizing that goes on all year. It's a LOT of work. But every year it's grown bigger and this time we had over 900 registered runners!!! Crazy. I think we are both so glad it's over. We can relax for a bit... and then start planning again for next year!
Fortunately, G-ma, Hansi, and Aunt Karin flew down from Baltimore to help us out the day of the race. They watched the kids before and after so I could help Eric, and Siena got to ride along in the stroller during the race thanks to G-ma! Plus they got to go watch Chase's soccer game afterward... bonus!
I love to actually run in this race because it's a pretty flat course with great views of the bay! I set my personal best there one year, but not this time. Maybe next year!
We had a great time visiting with G-ma, Hansi, and Aunt Karin! We just wish they could've stayed longer!
