Chase update!

It's been way too long since I've written any real information about my little boy... who is growing up so fast! We just passed the 18 month mark and I can hardly believe that he's on his way to being 2 years old! Here is what's going on with Chase right now:

-He is still incredibly active... climbing all over EVERYTHING! He constantly wants to get on top of chairs, tables, the computer, file cabinet, etc. He can even climb up onto our bed, which is pretty high! He is just such a little monkey.

-He loves to run! He hardly ever walks anywhere... he runs back and forth through the house!

-He enjoys walking backwards, spinning, and especially jumping!

-He's still not talking too much but I know he has a huge vocabulary inside that head of his! He'll point to just about anything you ask him to, and he's constantly surprising us with how much he knows. At various times I've heard him say mama, uh-oh, go, jump, cup, shoe, bath, block, ball, bubble, got it, and eat... but the only ones we hear consistently every day are mama, go, and uh-oh. He continues to use signs, especially "more", for just about everything that he wants. For example, if he wants us to sit down next to him, he'll put his fingers together to make the "more" sign and then point to the floor. It's not quite language yet, but at least we're communicating!

-He loves to give kisses lately... and we don't mind this one bit!

-He knows his friends by name now and also all of his family members, even aunts, uncles and cousins, despite the fact that they all live far away! We look at pictures together all the time.

-He loves his books and is very particular about which ones he wants to read. His favorites are "Brown Bear," "Big Red Barn," and "From Head to Toe."

-He's getting really good at eating with a fork and spoon, and the last few days he's been able to eat cereal in milk.

-His favorite thing to do in the whole world is "drive" our car! He could sit in the car for hours, pushing all of the buttons and crawling over the seats. Only problem is that it gets SO hot out there! I'm always trying to bribe him out of the car.

-He's crazy about cars, airplanes, trucks, tractors, and buses... but isn't every little boy?!

-He always wants to help out around the house... sweeping, vacuuming, laundry, unloading the dishwasher, bringing in groceries, walking the dogs, mowing the grass, and even feeding the dogs! So helpful! ;)
