I have no idea what to write about today so the plan is just to write whatever pops in my head within the next 5 minutes or so...
It's really warm outside today and it feels like spring... so weird! But I'm not complaining at all! I think I'll open up all the windows and put on a t-shirt and pretend like it's April. Although, after writing that last sentence I decided to actually check the weather and it says that the high today is 52 (not THAT warm) and that there's a chance of snow showers tonight! Still, I'm opening the windows right now.
I find it very strange that I live near 2 big cities and I live in a big neighborhood with thousands of people around me every day and I really don't know any of them. I mean, I can walk down the street in downtown Baltimore and pass hundreds of people and I don't know any of them. I just walk right past and look down or straight forward and there's no interaction with anyone. Same with my neighborhood. There are hundreds of houses that I walk past every day with the dogs and it's sad to say after passing each of them, "I don't know who lives there, or there, or there..." It's pathetic really. I hope I'm not the only person who feels this way. How is it possible to live among so many people and yet feel so lonely at times? I might as well be living in the middle of Kansas, in a little house on the prairie or something.
I really like reading people's blogs where they list things that they love. So here's mine, off the top of my head.
I love finding a good tomato at the grocery store.
I love boiled peanuts.
I love Alice Springs Chicken at Outback.
(maybe these shouldn't all be about food!)
I love waking up at the same time as Eric, which is only on Sundays.
I love it when the clock says 3:59 at work because that means I get to leave in 1 minute!
(By the way, has anyone seen that bud light commercial where the guy in the helmet tries to stay at work 5 extra minutes on a Friday afternoon? That's so me, every day!)
I love going to the beach, any beach.
I love seeing pictures of my friends pregnant, it makes me giggle!
I love when Berkeley and Elvis have just had a bath and I can curl up with them on the floor... they smell like Mango and Head & Shoulders because we mix the dog shampoo and Eric's shampoo since the dogs seem to have dandruff.
I love being in the middle of a really good book.
I love going to foreign countries.
I love those last 5 minutes before I leave my parents house after visiting them, because my mom inevitably tries to give me 20 more things to take with me and it's just plain funny!
Okay, that's all for now. I think I'm going to go take advantage of the nice weather and drive Eric's car up to the shop (again) and then run the whole way home! Don't worry, it's only like 2 miles.

shannon, i saw your comment on my blog about reese witherspoon. did you happen to see her on oprah not too long ago? it was for her role in walk the line, which i did not see. but i really really liked reese on oprah that day. she seemed so normal, so down to earth, so yes, i can imagine that she said she likes the blue box. she also talked about how she makes casseroles a lot because they are so easy. she seems like a really good mom to her kids. i think her little girl's name is ava and her little boy's name is deacon. weird.
