And did I mention that they are both sleeping through the night?! I am still in total shock! Chase and Siena didn't sleep through the night until 8 and 10 months respectively so I am just not used to this kind of success. But on the other hand, I didn't try nearly as hard with them. Whenever they cried, I would nurse them, no questions asked! Poor Zoey and Lyla, they have been on a strict schedule from Day 1... but I guess it has all been worth it! I put them to bed around 6:30pm, do a "dream feed" around 10pm, and then they sleep like little angels until 7am! It's amazing to get a full night's sleep after 5 months (more if you count the sleepless twin pregnancy nights!) of being a crazed, sleep deprived lunatic! In case you're wondering, they didn't magically start sleeping like this on their own: there was a lot of "sleep training" involved. Like I've mentioned before, I have a nightstand full of baby "sleep" books and I don't think any 1 specific strategy worked... we ended up using a mesh of all of them! We'll call it the Babywise-Ferber-Weissbluth-Cry it Out-No Cry-Baby Sleep Solution!
To add to their impressive accomplishment, Zoey and Lyla have also settled into a nice daytime schedule. They eat at 7a, 11a, 3p, 6p, and 10p. They nap around 9-10:30a, 1-2:30p, and 4-5p. During their awake time they are full of giggles, squeals, and smiles (although I'm not skilled at capturing any of that on camera!) and they are really loving the exersaucer and jumparoo!
