I was really sad the day we left Baltimore because I miss Eric's family so much! I'm sure we'll have to move back up there some day and as much as I love it here, I actually look forward to it, just because we'll be closer to them again. But I was so excited to be greeted with 80 degree weather when we got home... and so was Chase! Yesterday we met some friends at our park square and Chase jumped right in the fountains with the other boys and got soaked! Needless to say, he was happy to help me stash his winter coat and hat in the back of the closet!

our Florida boy
We just got back from a 5 day trip to Baltimore to visit Eric's family and here's what I learned: Chase is such a Florida boy! He was in complete shock in the cold weather... wouldn't let me put a coat, hat or gloves on him and was totally miserable while we were outside! He even got mad at me for wearing a hat and coat (pretty scary looking, I guess)! It was really only a problem for one day: the day we went to Washington, DC to do some sightseeing. We took a tour of the White House (all decorated for Christmas!), got lunch at our favorite spot: Pot Belly Sandwich Works, and walked through the Air and Space Museum. It was Dennis' first trip to DC so I think he enjoyed everything, although we could have used much more time and warmer weather so that we could actually walk around!
The rest of our time in Baltimore was spent touring the Inner Harbor (on a COLD rainy day... but fortunately Chase stayed at home with his G-ma!), visiting my old co-workers at Hopkins, eating at Fuddruckers with lots of friends, checking out the train garden at the local fire station, watching the Ravens lose to the Steelers, eating brunch at Harryman House, and playing hours of Rock Band, Karaoke, and Wii. OH and we saw our good friends Mark and Lauren and their new TWINS! It was great timing because the twins were born the day that we arrived, so we got to see them in the hospital... just 2 rooms down from where we stayed with Chase when he was born almost 2 years ago! Belle Olivia and Aiden John were so adorable and we're so happy for Mark and Lauren!

soo glad you had a good trip!! Tallon is the same way- we don't get too much cold weather here in SC and he can NOT stand jackets, hats or gloves. I even have a difficult time getting him to wear socks with his shoes!! Chase gets cuter and cuter. hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
