We're back from our 10 day trip to the Sunshine State (it held true to it's name... it only rained for about 10 minutes on our last day!) and back to Maryland where there's snow on the ground! It's good to be "home" but at the same time we're excited about our move to our new home! We accomplished our single goal of the trip and that was to find a new house!

We spent the first few days just driving around Tampa and checking out different neighborhoods. I'm certain that we found the best one and I can't wait to live there! The neighborhood is full of trees with spanish moss, nature trails, and ponds... one of which will be in our backyard!! If you click on the picture of our house above, you can see all of the pictures from our trip, which include more pics of the house.
My parents came down for about 5 days and we had a great time visiting with them and with my niece Abbie, who they brought with them. Chase had a lot of "firsts" on this trip... first airplane ride, first trip to the beach and first trip to the zoo! Of course, he slept through most of it, but we'll show him the pictures one day!
Fortunately we were able to get our closing date on the new house to fall about a week after we move out of our current home, so we won't have to spend too much time in a hotel. The bad news is that we don't have much time... less than 2 weeks!... to pack up and get out of here. We're feeling a bit rushed, but it will be so nice when we're all settled in our new place and we can sit out on the screened lanai and just relax! I can't wait!

What GREAT pics! And how much did I beam to see him in an Elias hand-me-down! It connects our boys and I LOVE it! House is great...love how FLORIDA it is. Can't wait to come visit and share some sweet tea looking out at that beautiful pond! Glad Chase did well on the trip..they are quite portable, actually! Love you...loved seeing you and Eric and baby! Will send pics soon!
Shannon...I feel your pain! We have to be out of our house in two weeks as well! I can't imagine doing all of that with a baby too! Just have a "packing party" and invite some friends over and feed them dinner and you'll be packed before you know it!
Exciting to see your pictures of the new house and baby Chase! Let me know if you'll be coming through Savannah on the trip down here. I'd love to see you!
Oh my! Don't you just love the beautiful beach down there? Your house looks awesome and Tampa looks like a lot of fun too! I hope I can come see it all soon.
