We had a really fun birthday party for her on Tuesday afternoon. Lots of kids, ages 9 months to 4 years old running around the backyard, splashing in the kiddie pools, playing in the little house, sliding down the slide, and generally acting crazy! The weather was perfect, which is surprising because lately it's been storming every afternoon here. Siena LOVED her cake! She dove right in and wasn't afraid to get messy... and she ate every last bite (that wasn't in her hair or on her clothes)!

I loved being able to bring her cake out in the backyard and let her destroy it in her bathing suit... and not worry one bit about the mess!
The older kids were so funny... they were really confused as to why Siena got to eat all of the cake and they got none (they didn't realize that we had another, bigger cake inside for everyone)! In the video you can hear Cooper say, "What kind of mom are you? You let the baby eat all the cake!" It's so hilarious... when I have time to post it on here, I will!

The festivities continued that night (with both kids on a sugar high!) while we opened all of Siena's gifts from her friends...
Chase was pretty into the whole thing! We kept having to remind him who's birthday it was!

This morning, her "real" birthday (not the "pretend one" as Chase called it) finally!!!
Our little one year old Siena is so much fun!! She's always giggling or dancing or letting us know exactly how she feels! :) She loves emptying every cabinet and drawer she can open, feeding Berkeley food from her high chair, "wrestling" with Chase, giving kisses, dropping stuff and saying "UH OH!" and pulling out my earrings! She's cruising and crawling all over the house and she wants to walk so badly! I can hardly remember what life was like without her. We love her so much!!!

I loved reading about Siena's birthday since I got to be there with you while you were getting things ready. And of course, she loved the Publix cake!!! I am glad it turned out to be such a good day for her party. And the 12 months of Siena poster looked so good. Thanks also for the nice little post about our nice little visit. I had fun too!!
