The End

This past week marked more than just the end of my twenties: it was the end of the school year for Chase and the end of his first soccer season! His last day of school was on Thursday and even though he only went 2 mornings a week, it seemed so sad. His teacher, Ms. Roxy, was so sweet and taught him so much (like this)! He'll miss seeing his buddies too, especially Mia and Ava... even though we do get together with them often outside of school. Next fall he'll go to preschool 3 mornings a week at a new school... hopefully that transition will go well! For now, he's so excited about "staying home with Mommy and Siena" every day, and about going to "swim school", which starts next week! I'm also planning on doing an alphabet book with him this summer, focusing on a different letter every day. He's really interested in learning to write his letters lately... he's pretty good at writing C, H, A, S, and E (wonder why?!) but he needs some help with the other ones.

His last soccer game was today and I think he actually played his best game yet! Maybe it's because his girlfriend Mia wasn't there (they're usually holding hands and flirting the whole game) and maybe it was because there weren't as many kids on the field as usual. Either way, we were impressed with how he played today! I was worried that maybe 3 years old is a bit young to start with group sports, but he had so much fun and he really did learn a lot... about being on a team, listening to a coach, staying on the field the whole game even when he was tired, and good sportsmanship (he loves giving high fives to the other team)! And he learned that playing soccer = yummy snacks!

Check out that running form (he's #5 on the right side)!

More running towards the ball... and picking a wedgie!

He was so proud of his trophy!!
