What in the world is going on with this weather?? I hate to complain, because I know that when it's cold down here, that just means it's super cold everywhere else! We've had temperatures less than 35 degrees every night for over a week now and temps in the 40's and low 50's during the day. Brrrrr! Besides the fact that we haven't been outside much, my least favorite thing about this weather is the plant coverings! Most of our palms, flowers, and even the grass here are supposed to live year-round. They just aren't suited for the cold... so we have to cover them when it gets below freezing. Otherwise, you end up spending a fortune replacing them all when then weather warms up. Been there, done that, not fun. So the end result is pretty funny... you walk down the streets of every neighborhood and see scenes like the ones above: every one's least favorite towels and bed sheets all over their yard! I'm pretty tired of seeing Charlie Brown, southwest patterns, and neon colored sheets! Ready for the warm sunshine to return... hopefully later this week!
