The noodle incident

I wish I had some video, or at least a picture to prove that this really happened... but you're just going to have to take my word for it! The other night we were all sitting at the table eating dinner. Among other things, we were eating some angel hair pasta with garlic and herb sauce. Chase was devouring it! He loves any kind of pasta. All of a sudden, he started rubbing his nose and whining. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "Mommy, boo boo!" I said, "Chase, do you have some boogers?" To which he replied "yes!" Well, I kind of glanced in his nose as best I could, but wasn't really able to see anything. He kept eating but would occasionally rub his nose some more and started crying a little bit. Eric and I kept looking at each other, completely perplexed, because we had no idea how to help him! He just kept saying, "Mommy, boo boo, nose hurts!" I felt so bad for him but couldn't think of anything to help, except offer him a tissue to try to blow his nose, which didn't really help at all. FINALLY, about 10 minutes later, he sneezed several times! On the last sneeze, a piece of noodle about 3" long FLEW out of his nose and landed on his arm!! Chase, Eric and I all looked at each other in complete shock and then busted out laughing! I really think it was the most I've laughed in a really long time! Poor Chase... I have no idea how he managed to get a noodle stuck in his nose, and I can't imagine how much it must have been bothering him!
