Video Cameras
Eric and I have been looking into purchasing a video camera before Chase's arrival, but after hours online I'm thoroughly confused about what type, brand, model would be best! I love to get feedback from people I know about different products, so if any of you out there in blog world have a video camera that you're happy with, could you let us know about it? We're not even sure of what type to get: miniDV, DVD, or hard drive! We go back and forth between the pros and cons of each. Ultimately I want to be able to make DVD's from any footage we shoot and I want something that's pretty easy to use. Under $500 is the goal. Any and all comments are welcome! Thanks in advance!

Hey Shannon! This is Carrie (Hancock) Brown from college. I am terrible about commenting on blogs. I love reading and catching up. Congratulations by the way with little Chase, you look great. We bought the Sony Handycam DCR-DVD7 last November for about $500. I know this model is much cheaper now. It burns straight to a 8cm DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW's. We are actually going to sell it because we just bought a little Canon Powershot that has video capability on it. I wanted a little camera that I can carry around with me. My husband has two very large professional cameras that we can use if we need to use the point and shoot for video at the same time as taking pictures (like birthday parties). If you want more information about it please let me know. You can email me at lucasbrowndesign@gmail.com
