Big News!
Many of you know that we were expecting to have to move this year with Eric's new job. Well we finally got the news on his new location...we're moving to Tampa, Florida! We were really surprised about it, because we thought we'd either be in Atlanta or staying in DC. But we always knew that it could be anywhere in the country, or even the world! So I had nightmares about having to move to LA or New York or Kansas. I'm really grateful that we got somewhere nice, and warm, and with a lower cost of living than where we are now! We'll hopefully be able to afford a house with a yard for the dogs... and that's really what we were hoping for more than anything! It will be really sad moving away from Eric's family, and really not any closer to mine or to our friends in the Carolinas. Neither of us have ever been to Tampa so we really don't know what to expect, other than the little bits of information we've heard from various people. But we're excited about it and anxious to start scoping out the area and find a new house! (If anyone reading this knows anyone that lives in Tampa or has good advice about what parts of town are best, let us know!) We'll most likely be making a house-hunting trip in late March and maybe moving in May. So everyone should go ahead and make plans to come visit us this summer! :)

This is a test because I just wrote a whole long comment and it wouldn't post properly. I will type it again if this works first.
Okay it worked. What I was saying is that I'm bummed that y'all get to move to Tampa AFTER we left Orlando because they are only like 1 hour 15 minutes apart and we could have seen each other sometimes. I would have liked that a lot. Oh well. You always have a friend in the Midwest now! And I'll have a friend in Tampa. I have worked with quite a few TV and radio station reps in the Tampa market over the past few years with my job in media, but I personally don't know much about Tampa. Our good friends Maggie and Jeremy (who live in Orlando now) both grew up in Tampa so I'm sure Maggie would be able to give you some advice or at least tell you where she lived. She goes back regularly to see her family who all still live there. I can email you her email address and you can email her directly and just tell her you're my friend and tell her you're about to have a baby! She is due with her second (a boy) in April. Her first, Zoe, was born just 3 weeks after Bauer, so we spent that whole first year as moms together, trying to figure out what we were doing. That really made us good friends fast! I hope you can find a friend or two like that in Tampa after you move. Gosh, I wish I could see you soon! Love, Ginger
Ginger,
I KNOW! That was one of the first things I thought of when I found out we were moving to Florida! I can't believe we'll be moving close to where you used to live only a few months after you left! Any chance of you getting tired of the cold Illinois weather?! I guess not, since you just found a new house! Congratulations by the way! That's really exciting. Well at least when you go back to Orlando to visit maybe we can see each other! :)
