This past weekend I flew down to visit Eric in Georgia. I definitely picked the worst day to board an airplane: last Thursday! When I woke up in the morning and heard the news about all the new flight restrictions, I couldn't believe that I was one of those unlucky people who had to go to the airport that day! Usually I LOVE flying anywhere, but Thursday night was probably the most miserable time I've ever spent at an airport! Getting through security was no problem after I had to check my tiny little carry-on bag, but for some reason my flight was soooo late! They said it was due to the weather, but I'm not buying it. Anyways, it was even worse of a situation for Eric since we didn't end up making it back to Georgia (I flew into Jacksonville, FL) until 1am and he had to be up to run at 4:20am!!! I felt so bad!Anyways, we spent the weekend on Jekyll Island at the Beachview Club. I had been to Jekyll Island on a field trip when I was in 2nd grade and I've always wanted to go back! I just remember being surrounded by a marshy wilderness and seeing so many birds and animals! Our visit this past weekend didn't disappoint! The island is still really undeveloped. Just a few hotels and restaurants, along with some old houses. Plus there's the historic district with the old Jekyll Island Club Hotel and cute shops. We spent some time on the beach, at the pool, riding bikes around the island, eating ice cream, eating seafood, and watching a wedding get rained out! We had the most perfect weather all day Saturday and we had noticed that there was a big wedding party staying at the hotel. They had such a nice little ceremony location looking out over the water, along with a big tent for the reception. Well, sure enough, just a few hours before the wedding, the clouds started rolling in and there was lots of thunder and lightening! I felt so bad for them as Eric and I looked out of our window and watched all of the tablecloths flying everywhere! We had a similar set up for our reception and we were so fortunate to have beautiful weather!
Sitting on a pier watching the sunset (see above). That's the restaurant we ate at in the background (called Latitude 31... for anyone heading to that part of the south, you should stop by, it was really good)!
Me, at "Driftwood Beach". Yes, my belly, I mean BABY, is starting to pooch out!
Riding bikes along the beachSpeaking of our wedding, last Thursday was our 4th anniversary! It actually seems like it's
been longer than 4 years to me... it seems like we've been married forever! (And that's a good thing!) I feel so blessed to have such an awesome husband! Eric, you are my best friend and the most fun person I know! You make life so exciting and I thank God every day for introducing you to me! You're a perfect husband and I know you'll be an wonderful dad! I'm so in love with you!

Hey! I remeber jekyll island - it was a blast! It's so cool that you got to go back there. You look adorable!! Can't wait to see you. Em
Wait a sec... we went in 4th grade, not 2nd grade, right?! Ooops!
Jekyll Island...cool. I spent two summers there during college, the picture of riding bikes looked very familiar. And when you mentioned seeing a wedding and remembering your reception outside I immediately thought of that picture of you both...and then I scrolled down and there it was. Glad to see you guys are enjoying life. Actually, that is one thing that I think Ginger and I always feel when we read your blog, you and Eric just get out and have a lot of cool experiences. That's cool. Enjoy it now while you can! ;)
TJ, that is my favorite picture from our wedding! We should have hired you to be our professional photographer!
