Twin Stuff

It's been pretty fun having twins so far... I mean not when they're waking up 20 times at night or crying simultaneously for an hour at dinner time, but when they do cute stuff like this, I just love it:

It's so different having to take care of two babies at once. Sometimes I feel like I'm a first time mom all over again! I have so many questions and I often feel so clueless. But seeing them together, and growing so quickly, makes it all worth it!

They are definitely starting to look more alike as Lyla puts on more weight! Now she just needs a little more hair and we won't wonder anymore if they're truly identical!

(in the double BOB stroller, out for a walk):

A lot of people ask me about whether they seem to have a bond, or speak a special language to each other when they cry, etc. I don't know about all that yet, but they do love to hold hands and gaze into each others eyes while they nurse! And if I pick up one out of the bassinet and the other is still sleeping, the sleeping girl soon wakes and cries as if she wonders where her sister went.

What I love most about Zoey and Lyla is that they are a constant reminder that God is in control of my life and not me. And that He lavishes gifts on us that are truly more than we could ever hope for or deserve! As one of my favorite hymns says, "Oh how He loves us!!!"

Shannon, God truly blessed you with four beautiful children however, God equally blessed them with a beautiful, loving, and nurturing mother. As you have become to realize through the birth and raising of these children, how much your mother and I have loved and cherished the moments that we have had watching you grow from a baby to the wonderful person and mother that you are. God has truly blessed us with three beautiful daughters and now seven precious grandchildren. Your mother and I love you, the children, and Eric very much. Dad
