Daddy's "vacation"... AKA paternity leave!

We were so lucky to have Eric home from work for 4 weeks! His boss kept referring to it as his "vacation," but I'm sure if he had been at our house every day, he would've seen how being at home is actually tougher than being at work sometimes! Eric spent endless hours spent doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning the floors, and of course, taking care of the kids. We did manage to sneak in a couple of really fun outings during those 4 weeks. I was anxious to get out and about with Chase and Siena since I worry I won't be able to do much of that once all of the help is gone (G-ma and Hansi are here this week... next week will be interesteing)! So, here are some pics of our activities during Eric's "vacation!"

The pool:

This is the first summer for Siena on the water slide!

Chase and I made a deal about something and I ended up having to go down the slide too!

The Glazer Children's Museum:

Backyard picnics:

The beach!

Our beach day was kind of a bummer because some dark clouds rolled in and we didn't get to stay too long before it started storming! It hardly EVER rains here and we just happened to pick the wrong day. Oh well! The kids still had a good time and at least it wasn't too hot!

Finger painting and then playing naked (of course!) in the backyard pool:

Blueberry picking:

Siena was so cute that day... all decked out with her accessories: a necklace that Chase made for her and her flower purse!
I think we ate as many blueberries as we picked! Yum!!
