We haven't been able to get all 4 kids in a picture yet (Siena's not really a fan of taking pictures these days!), but here's our first try at a family picture! It only took about 20 tries!
She 's not crazy about holding the babies, but she loves to give kisses!
Yep, they both fit in the same bouncy seat!
Things have been busy at home, but relatively easy since we've had lots of help. First with my parents here, then Aunt Katie, and now Eric's parents.
Aunt Katie:
And our friends and neighbors haven't let us make a single meal since the twins were born (we love www.mealbaby.com)! Chase and Siena have been busy playing games, doing puzzles, building with blocks, reading books, going to the playground and the pool with their grandparents and aunt. And I've been busy, busy, busy trying to keep these 2 little girls fed! They are definitely a handful and we've had our fair share of challenges with breastfeeding. Zoey got the hang of it right away since she wasn't in the hospital for very long, but Lyla has had to play catch up since she took a bottle for so long. So feeding times consist of nursing Zoey, feeding Lyla a bottle, and then pumping. And storing and labeling the milk and cleaning pump parts and bottles... ugh! The whole process usually takes about an hour. But we're working on it. Lyla is slowly getting better at nursing and I hope that pretty soon I'll be able to tandem feed and pack away the pump! Meanwhile, does anyone need some breast milk? I have a freezer full of it!!!
Eric's been helping out at night and going to work during the day... paternity leave starts next week! :)
Despite round-the-clock eating and sleeping, the twins have been busy too: they've been to the Brunchery, to You Say When Yogurt (twice), and even the pool (don't worry, they didn't go swimming yet)! Oh and to the playground. The Joovy Big Caboose made it's neighborhood debut when we took all of the kids to Ibis Park yesterday! We were quite the parade walking down the street with that huge stroller, Chase on his bike, and Berkeley on the leash!
at the park:
The girls had their first bath!

And finally I just have to include all of these pictures because they're so sweet... Chase ADORES his new sisters! Can you tell?!

Oh my gosh...Chase is just precious with the girls! What a good big brother!
Shannon, you and Eric are my new idols. I have no idea how you are even relatively sane (let alone, blogging!) with 4 flippin' kids! Eeks!
Shay - first off, you look amazing! How are you feeling - I saw Chase sitting on you for the family photo and cringed thinking of your incision!
I love, love, love how sweet Chase is with them!
Thanks Bec and Meliss!
I'm feeling fine now... good as new! Don't worry, Chase was sitting on the couch in the pic, not on my lap. But he is so happy that he CAN sit on my lap now since my big belly is gone! :)
