Twins update!

Here I am, last week at 29 weeks pregnant with the twins:

The belly is out of control! My skin itches and hurts, my stomach muscles feel stretched to their limit, my back aches, and the veins in my legs just plain hurt. But I still have a long way to go, and as I've said before:

-I feel so blessed and privileged to carry these 2 girls
-I'm so in awe of how God is creating 2 new lives inside of me
-I'm very aware that these are my last few weeks of being pregnant EVER (well, according to my plan... and I guess I'm also aware now that things don't always end up how I plan them!)

and so, I'm trying so very hard not to complain and to really enjoy every day of being pregnant with Lyla and Zoey.

I had another ultrasound with the perinatal doctors last Friday and it just so happened that my parents were here in town and got to go with me! It was the first time I'd ever been to an (level II) ultrasound without Eric, and with someone else. I loved having them there with me to see the babies! It was all good news from the doctor again: no "issues" to be concerned about. Both girls are growing well and are in the right range for their gestational age. Zoey's estimated weight was 3 lbs, 5 oz and Lyla's was 2 lbs, 14 oz. He said the difference in their weight was not enough to be worried about. One thing that worried me was that Lyla has turned breech since my last ultrasound! There is still plenty of time for her to turn back around... although I wonder how in the world there is enough room in there for such a flip! But anyway, I was so thankful for the good results from the ultrasound!! I'm scheduled for another one in 4 weeks, but I'm going to the doctor every week now.
