It's April in Florida and I guess that means that summer has officially begun! I found this out the hard way last week when I decided to take Chase to the park one afternoon. It was about 3pm and typically the playground is packed with kids. But on that day, we were the only ones there! That should have been clue #1. As soon as Chase walked over to one of the slides and put his hand down, he bounced right back and made the "hot" sign! So we had to settle for a little swing time in the shade instead!
But overall, I love the hot weather! Summertime means lots more time at the pool, plenty of popsicles and lots of strawberries! One thing I love about where we live is all of the farms in our area. We're able to get tons of local produce at cheap prices. It's strawberry season right now so we've been eating strawberries all day, every day! Chase loves 'em.

Summertime also means...
Longer days and more time for Chase to play in the backyard and with our neighbor, Cooper:

Running around outside in his bathing suit and playing in the fountains at our Park Square:

Time for sunscreen!

And my favorite... it's the time of year when thunderstorms roll in every afternoon! I caught Chase and his daddy outside watching a thunderstorm a few days ago:
