Take me out to the ballgame!

This past Saturday we went to our first Devil Rays game to watch them play our Baltimore Orioles! It was Chase's second Major League ballgame and he had so much fun! I was really impressed with how well he did considering that the game didn't start until 7pm and we were there until 10pm! There was so much to see and hear... and lots of people to smile at! Too bad the Orioles lost though. We picked the wrong night to go as far as that was concerned... but we still had fun! Chase particularly enjoyed the Dippin' Dots that he got to try during the 8th inning!

(Have you noticed how he has this same "look" every time we take a picture of him? His G-ma calls it the "deer in the headlights" look! I promise, he really does smile! Just not when he's looking at the camera!)
Here are some pictures from one of our favorite activities... sitting out in the backyard after dinner. We like to watch for birds, jumping fish, and of course, our friend the alligator!

And finally, I think it's fair to say that Chase has outgrown his former favorite toy, the Baby Einstein playmat! This statement is based on the following...

Exhibit A:
Exhibit B (don't worry, I was watching him!):

I think it's time for some new toys! Anyone have some suggestions for things that their child enjoyed at 6 months?

Hi Shannon- Chase is getting soo big- and soo cute!! Tal's aunt and uncles gave him a leap frog learning table when he was about 6 months and that was the best toy for MONTHS- he still plays with his- although not quite as much anymore! You can take the legs off on 1 side(they snap off easily) so the table can tilt and Chase can sit and play and than when he starts pulling up- you can add the legs back and he will love it some more bc he can pull up and stand and play! You might want to look for it secondhand or see if someone with an older kid has one you can borrow but it is def a greaet toy bc it lasts a little bit longer ( atleast it did with Tal)

Elias agrees with Tallon! = ) I just now put that toy away...Elias started playing with it around 6 months without the legs (flat on floor). Then when he could pull to stand, the 4 legs make it a little table and he would cruise all around it to get to the things he wanted. It was great! It's actually called "LeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Table" and costs about $40. Sounds expensive, but it is a toy with LONGEVITY and non-annoying music and sounds. Priceless!
