Aaaachoooo!

I can't really remember the first time that Chase giggled, but I do remember the first time I heard a long continuous laugh out of him. It was when my sister Amanda came to visit. She was just tickling him and he loved every minute! Of course, Eric and I tried doing the same thing to no avail. The second time he really laughed was when we were in the Outer Banks. Everyone was at the table eating dinner, except for Amanda and Abbie, who were in the next room playing with Chase. Apparently Abbie was bouncing around on the bed and Chase thought it was hilarious! We all rushed in to see what he was laughing at and Abbie continued running and throwing herself on the bed, causing Chase to burst out with laughter each time. After we got back home to Tampa, Eric was able to make him laugh by rubbing his head on his stomach. But did he laugh when I did it? Not a chance! So I just gave up trying to make him laugh. Then the other night Eric and I were getting Chase ready for bed. He was so sleepy and fussy as we were putting on his pajamas. Suddenly I sneezed, a really loud sneeze, and I spun around so that I wouldn't sneeze on Chase's face. Well that must have been the most hilarious thing in the world because he just laughed and laughed! Of course, after that I kept doing a couple of fake sneezes and that worked for a little while but now he's over it. Lately he finds Berkeley and Elvis particularly amusing, and laughs when they lick his face or hands. It's so funny (no pun intended) what makes a baby laugh!
